Mark Vrionides

I’m a woodworker based in West Wales. I build outdoor structures for community projects and individuals. My passion is working closely with clients and communities to create the spaces they will inhabit and enjoy. The client-contractor relationship is a great place for collaboration, honesty and exploration, and a respect for this is fundamental to my working practice.

I’m a trained site and workshop carpenter with a love for the native trees of Britain and the way they inhabit and enrich our lives. I’m also a member of a build collective with a diversity of skills in timber framing, natural building, restoration and retro-fitting. This gives me the scope and confidence to take on a range of different projects and to consult specialist colleagues over new or unusual challenges.

I believe in building projects that empower people and contribute to the local environment and community. I bring a background in community development and youth-work to the building site and aim to make it a welcoming, encouraging and safe space.
